Why we created Barkio?

Following the success of our Dog Monitor app, Barkio is a new generation of monitoring apps for pet owners. Dog Monitor launched back in 2013 and was one of the first apps designed for monitoring pets left at home alone. The more popular the app became, the more feedback and feature requests from pet owners we've received. To be able to grow the app accordingly, we've decided that after six years, it's time to create a new, better app with more options on how to stay in touch with your dog. Hear and watch live video of your dog

Barkio continuously monitors your dog, so you’re able to hear and see your dog in real-time. When the dog is noisy, the app alerts you immediately. You can remotely switch between the front-facing and back-facing camera or even activate a Night Light for better visibility.

Interact with your dog remotely

When your dog seems to be restless, anxious or it’s having too much fun chewing on your new shoes, you can talk to it and calm it down remotely with just one tap of a button. You can also prerecord your custom voice messages and send them to the dog in any situation. If your dog reacts better to visuals, you can stream a video of yourself to the Dog Station so your dog can see you as well.

Get an overview of all activities

In the Activity log, you’ll see an overview of all monitorings with timestamps indicating when the dog was resting and when it was noisy. You can also replay the recorded noises. The activity log helps you to check everything that’s been going on and understand the patterns in your dog’s behavior.

You can easily switch to background mode and be informed about your dog through notifications. You’ll learn when your dog is resting and noisy, and you’ll also be able to replay the detected noise.
